Meet Your Executive Director:


Laurie Cashman has spent her entire over 25-year career supporting seniors and their families having spearheaded many community-based initiatives, managed senior living communities in the Worcester area and advocated on a statewide level as the director of education for the Massachusetts Assisted Living Association (Mass-ALA). She continues to educate the next generation of leaders as an adjunct professor of gerontology at Quinsigamond Community College.

What Brought You to Benchmark:


Benchmark began as I was starting my career. I’ve long admired their mission and dedication to helping older adults thrive, especially the great work done by the Tatnuck Park team in Central Mass., where I’m originally from. When I wanted to get back to my passion of working hands-on with seniors there was no question where I wanted to be.

Fun Fact:


In my free time, I enjoy playing the drums and am in the process of writing a children’s book series.
